There are many different ways to achieve beautifully straight teeth. However, Invisalign is an option that does not involve wires and brackets and instead uses clear, invisible trays (aligners). The clear, almost invisible trays from Invisalign gives you the freedom to work, eat and socialise without the look of traditional fixed appliances.
Apart from the almost invisible appearance, the Invisalign trays are much more comfortable than traditional metal braces. They are custom made out of smooth plastic with no sharp edges or brackets. The Invisalign trays can be removed so that your teeth can be thoroughly cleaned twice a day as well as making eating more comfortable. It is important to maintain healthy teeth and gums whilst having Invisalign to ensure you have the smile you always wanted at the end of treatment.
Invisalign usually costs £3750. At Ash Villa we also include teeth whitening (worth £310) and Vivera retainers (worth £350). Finance is available from £312.50 per month based on 12 months interest free credit through Tabeo Finance. For those wishing to pay upfront, we offer a 5% discount.
Invisalign is suitable to treat a variety of orthodontic issues from minor movements to more complex cases. It is very effective at closing small gaps and correcting crooked teeth. It is important to remember that good oral hygiene is a priority and healthy teeth and gums must be present in order for you to be accepted for Invisalign treatment.
Each Invisalign case is assessed on an individual basis, for minor adjustments it can take as little as 3 months but for more complex cases it can extend to over 12 months. Following a scan by the dentist, Invisalign will send a Clincheck which shows the stages of movement through each aligner for your particular case. Your dentist will then further modify this and discuss the result with you before treatment begins to ensure you are happy with the final result.
The first step would be to book an Invisalign scan appointment with your dentist. The scan will be sent to Invisalign for them to produce your Clincheck. The cost for this part is £150. Once the Clincheck has been modified and is ready you will discuss the results with your dentist. If you are happy to go ahead your dentist will order your aligners. A deposit would be paid at this appointment (less the £150 Clincheck fee). The aligners usually take around 2 weeks to be manufactured, at which point you would see the dentist to get your first aligner fitted.
